Lawyer Tom Renz discussed freedom and providing opportunities to people during the Nov. 8 episode of his Brighteon.TV program “Lawfare with Tom Renz.”
He shared the story of William Bradford, long-time governor of the Plymouth Colony. He and other Pilgrims came to America to flee persecution in Europe and enjoy religious freedom. Under Bradford’s leadership, the colony ditched its failed socialist experiment on communal service – opting to give the Pilgrims their share of the land to till instead.
“Bradford’s colony was originally a commune of sorts and, like all communist communes, it didn’t work,” stated a piece from the Independent Sentinel. “People became lazy [and] began to steal. Some starved, [with] only 51 [surviving] the first winter.”
“Bradford decided to change the living arrangements. He gave families their own land to till. It was up to them to survive and they did.”
According to Renz, the colony’s initial failure stemmed from its inability to understand fairness which continues today.
“The confusion comes from people trying to suggest that fairness is equal outcome. Fairness is not equal outcome. Fairness is equal opportunity. If we have an equal opportunity, we have fairness. If we have an equal outcome, we can never have fairness because you get to control how hard you work and what you do.” (Related: Matrixxx Grooove with Jeff and Shady: America is the greatest nation because it gives people freedom – Brighteon.TV.)
Renz pointed out that people have a certain amount of control over their life, and it is dictated and determined by the efforts they put into things. A person taking control of everything leads to corruption, and it is never a good thing to put power in the hands of people.
Given this, he argued that the problem with socialism is that it takes control of decisions and freedom for the people and puts them in the hands of others. He added that there is never an equal outcome under socialism or communism because it is a big lie and there is always the issue of the haves and the have-nots.
The Ohio-based lawyer remarked that people need to be motivated and given an incentive to work, citing that the law mandates every person to have an equal opportunity.
“We want to provide better opportunities. Better opportunities don’t come from affirmative action. Better opportunities come from equal treatment under the law, combined with teaching people to go after it. We provide equal treatment under the law because fairness and justice demand it.”
The Brighteon.TV host also lamented that America’s economy is being destroyed and the American people need to get the economy fixed.
He added that the Biden administration is intentionally tanking the American economy so that they can push digital currency. Renz went on to say that Americans should not be surprised if they find out that this is a gold-backed digital currency.
“If you call a digital currency gold-backed, it’s still a digital currency and it’s still not gold-backed,” he explained.
“The thing about digital currency is it is meaningless because someone can turn it on or off at will. So, whether you call it gold-backed or call it this or call it that it’s not, it never is. It’s only a keystroke away from being deleted or controlled or moved,” Renz said, adding the digital currency being called gold-backed does not make it good.
