The National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC), which is funded by American taxpayers through the Smithsonian Institution, has declared that concepts like thinking for oneself and living as an individual represent evil forms of “whiteness,” and thus must be abolished from society.
If you are someone who opposes groupthink, as another example, or who lives in a “nuclear” family with one man, one woman, and maybe some children – or worse yet, if you are a Christian – then by default you are engaging in toxic “microaggressions” towards “non-whites” by your very existence.
None of this is okay with the political correctness police, it turns out, which is actively seeking to stamp these types of things out and completely reinvent culture to reflect a more “equitable” scenario for people who do not have light-colored skin, all of whom are harmed by “whiteness,” according to NMAAHC.
In a very lengthy piece titled, Whiteness, which is cataloged in the “Let’s Talk About Race” section of the NMAAHC website, unidentified authors attempt to make the case that whiteness “and its accepted normality” have no congruency with the experiences of “people of color,” which can never coexist in a world where people are self-reliant, as one example, or who trust in Jesus Christ for salvation.
Everything that “whiteness” supposedly represents, from having a normal family structure to working hard, is antithetic to the “non-white” experience, the article contends. “Non-white” people simply cannot be expected to compete with others, as yet another example, or operate within the realm of the scientific method.
“Non-whites,” it turns out, have to be reliant upon the government at all times for their subsistence, and be “gay” or trans, because these things are the opposite of “whiteness,” according to the article. “Non-whites” also cannot be expected to ever work hard for their living, and instead need to be on the government dole in order to have a “fair” experience in life.
This is the crux of the Smithsonian article, which lambastes virtually everything that most people recognize as being generally normal for a healthy, functioning society as being symbols of “whiteness.” “Non-whites” can also never own personal property, either, because this supposedly represents “whiteness” as well.
“Non-whites,” and specifically black people, only understand “collectivism, indolence, subjectivity, contempt and poor impulse control,” according to one commenter’s assessment of what the Smithsonian article is saying by concluding that “non-whites” are incapable of making their own decisions and having normal families.
“The Smithsonian, apparently, didn’t notice the irony that the definition of racism is holding negative beliefs and attitudes about a race due to stereotyping the race,” further noted Luis Miguel from The New American.
This nonsensical and highly racist piece from the Smithsonian was published right after the reported death of George Floyd, piggy-backing on what quickly developed into global chaos over alleged “race-motivated” police violence – which does not even exist, by the way.
It is unfortunate that American taxpayers are having their hard-earned tax dollars wasted on tripe like this, which only foments more division between people with lighter skin and people with darker skin. It classifies all “darkies” as being incapable of living normal lives, in essence, which is about as racist as racism gets.
“If these concepts are all mere ‘whiteness,’ according to the screed, then logically it is racist to ‘impose’ them on non-whites,” further notes Miguel, further explaining that the Smithsonian’s “sophistry” in labeling every core principal of a successful civilization in terms of “whiteness” is merely a thinly-veiled attempt at “destroying our culture in order to radically transform the country.”
