A liberal jury and judge in Berkeley, California, has issued a ruling of “not guilty” for five Antifa thugs who nearly murdered a man during a violent political clash that took place in the city’s Civic Center Park back on March 4, 2017.
According to Berkeleyside.com, the jury had already unanimously decided “early on” that the five defendants who provoked and physically attacked Trump supporters at the “March on Berkeley” event were not guilty of committing any crimes – even though they were visibly seen doing so – but they went through the motions of a trial anyway.
In case you missed all of the details, anti-Trump Antifa extremists decided to launch full-scale war on Trump supporters who attended a series of what would have otherwise been peaceful marches in Berkeley in support of the president. One Trump supporter in particular by the name of Moshe Daniel Quillinan bore the brunt of this violent assault, sustaining injuries to his head that could have killed him.
Quillinan was simply minding his own business as he sat quietly on a wall near some firefighters who ended up intervening to save his life when the Antifa terrorists started to beat him to death. They wrapped a large bandage around his head and waited with him while friends arrived to take him to the hospital.
Quillinan later sued the individuals in question, only to have the justice system stack itself against him simply because of his political beliefs. Because Quillinan supports President Trump, both the jury and judge in the case politicized their decision against him. They ultimately decided that the Antifa members who attacked Quillinan did nothing wrong, basically implying that Quillinan deserved what he got.
Not only that, but the five individuals in question had a cadre of supporters storm the court room throughout the trial, disrupting the proceedings with “laughter, sighs of derision, hissing, applause and other outbursts.”
“At one point, a member of the audience held up a political flier, facing the jury, urging the court to ‘drop the charges’ against the activist group,” writes Emilie Raguso for Berkeleyside.com.
“Throughout the first day and much of the second, during breaks, jurors stood outside the courtroom and rode the elevator within earshot of defense supporters who loudly discussed their views and criticized the prosecution. Jurors are under strict orders to focus only on evidence presented in court, and to have no outside discussions or external exposure to the case to ensure an unbiased process.”
To be fair, Judge Alison Tucher did attempt to keep things under control, ordering this crowd of disruptors to maintain their “poker faces” or risk being ejected from the courtroom. She also emphasized that legal proceedings in a courtroom require professional and decent behavior, and shouldn’t be treated like “a political rally.”
But this didn’t stop the Antifa mob from continuing to break the rules, include carousing with jurors during breaks, which is strictly prohibited. At one point, Judge Tucher reportedly had to forcibly keep the mob inside the courtroom during breaks with the help of a bailiff. But to others who were witness to the events that took place during the trial, Judge Tucher didn’t do nearly enough.
“The entire trial was a circus – and the judge never once stopped it or threatened a mistrial!” writes Jim Hoft for The Gateway Pundit. “Antifa members even stalked the jurors and yelled threats and lies at them during the trial! Mind-boggling.”
