The latest American corporation to go “woke” is the Walt Disney Corporation, which is now pushing Marxist “critical race theory” on its employees.
Internal company documents leaked to City-Journal journalist Christopher Rufo reveal that part of Disney’s “diversity and inclusion” training program for employees includes instructions about how to “Reimagine Tomorrow” with no white people.
“White privilege,” according to Disney, is a pandemic in our country and must be eradicated through “equality.” The United States itself, Disney claims, is fundamentally racist and needs to be retooled.
One module called “Allyship for Race Consciousness” talks about “systemic racism” and “microaggressions,” which benefit white people and hurt non-white people. White employees are instructed in this section to “examine and work through feelings of guilt, shame, and defensiveness to understand what is beneath them and what needs to be healed.”
White employees are also challenged by Disney to get rid of their “colorblind ideologies and rhetoric” because skin color is everything now. Phrases such as “All Lives Matter” and “I don’t see color” are apparently “harmful and hurtful” to non-whites, so they must go.
If a black or brown Disney employee demands special privileges based on skin color, their white counterparts are not to “question or debate” it because this is the “lived experience” of people of color.
Even asking a brown or black Disney employee to explain why they are upset about something is off-limits because it is “emotionally taxing” for a black or brown person “to educate you” about why they are angry and feel as though everything around them is racist.
As for equality, Disney rejects the idea of equal treatment. Instead, Disney wants “equality of outcome,” meaning a lazy black person who does not do his job must be treated the same as a hard-working white person who picks up his slack.
“Equality is a noble goal,” Disney contends.
“Equal treatment and access to opportunities help each of us perform our best within a shared set of parameters. But we really need to be striving for equity, where we focus on the equality of the outcome, not the equality of the experience by taking individual needs and skills into account.”
In another section of the documents, Disney urges its employees to participate in the “21-Day Racial Equity and Social Justice Challenge,” which is sponsored by Walt Disney Imagineering.
Participants of this challenge are encouraged to fill out a self-assessment survey to determine their level of “privilege.” Statements such as “I have never been raped” and “I have never had an eating disorder” are among the data points used to assess said privilege.
There is also another section called “103 Things White People Can Do for Racial Justice” that encourages whites to embrace “Black Lives Matter” regalia and promote the “defund the police” movement. It also recommends that white people “decolonize your bookshelf” while providing no further details as to what this entails.
Disney, it turns out, has been heading to hell in a handbasket for quite some time now. Last year we reported that the company is actively influencing children to embrace Satanism, pedophilia, witchcraft, and other demonic activities. Long gone are the days of Dumbo and Lady and the Tramp, in other words.
“Mr. Walt Disney must be tossing and turning in his grave over all that has become of his legacy,” wrote one commenter at The Epoch Times.
“Disney has turned into a horrible, racist, anti-family and anti-American organization,” wrote another. “I will never spend another dime on ANY Disney product.”
